What it does
Selling digital products to an international audience gets awkward when every price is shown in one currency. Buyers have to convert prices in their heads, and you have to decide how to handle rates that keep moving. This extension adds multi-currency support directly to Easy Digital Downloads, so shoppers can see prices and check out in their local currency while you keep running the store from your usual dashboard.
Exchange rates are pulled in automatically through the Easy Digital Downloads API, so you do not need to update values by hand. If you prefer predictable prices, you can set fixed rates or rounding rules instead. Visitors can be matched to a currency based on their location, and you can choose to force that detected currency. Product editing includes a Currencies section, and sales reports can be broken down by currency so you can see where revenue comes from.
