What it does
The default Modern Events Calendar shortcodes give you set layouts, and changing how each event looks usually means working around them. This addon moves that design work into Elementor. You build a shortcode by placing and rearranging widgets such as the date, thumbnail, excerpt and read more button, so your grid, list or calendar style views can follow the look of the rest of your site. Elementor is required.
Once a layout is built, you manage it much like a native Modern Events Calendar shortcode. A central settings page holds the display options, including how many events appear, which filters apply and whether a map sits above the list. Event details can open in a simple view or a modal pop-up, and a search bar can use Modern Events Calendar fields. It suits organizers, businesses and community sites that list events regularly.
Best for
- Sites already using Modern Events Calendar with Elementor
- Event organizers wanting custom event listing layouts
- Community and business sites with regular event schedules
Features
Build your own event shortcodes in Elementor's drag and drop interface, choosing which elements appear and how each event listing is laid out.
Rearrange and reposition every element inside a shortcode, so dates, images, text and buttons sit exactly where your design calls for them.
Handle shortcode settings in one place, including the number of events shown, display options and the filters that decide which events appear.
Show event details in a clean simple view, or open them in a modal pop-up so visitors can read them without leaving the page.
Turn on a map view above your shortcode so visitors can see where event venues are located before browsing the list below.
Configure filters that limit and tailor the events a shortcode displays, keeping each listing focused on the events that matter for that page.
Add a search bar that works with Modern Events Calendar fields, helping visitors find specific events in longer listings.
Fine tune individual widgets, such as setting thumbnail image height or showing a booking button in the read more widget.
