What it does
A directory is good at helping people find a business, but visitors usually have to leave it to make a booking. This add-on keeps that step on your site. Each listing can offer available time slots, and customers reserve one without going anywhere else. It works inside your existing GeoDirectory listings and workflows, so your directory structure stays as it is. It requires GeoDirectory and the Invoicing plugin, which handles the payment side of each booking.
For marketplace owners, the add-on handles the money flow between customers, providers and the site. You can charge a commission or service fee on every appointment, and choose whether customers pay in full, pay a deposit or book without paying upfront. Providers can request withdrawals of their earnings, and cancellations and refunds are managed in the same system. Email notifications go to customers and providers, and they include the time slot, customer comments and action buttons to approve, reject, view or pay for a booking.
Best for
- GeoDirectory sites adding service bookings to listings
- Salon, fitness class and consultation directories
- Marketplace owners earning commissions on appointments
Features
Customers pick and reserve an available time slot directly from a directory listing, so the booking happens right where they found the service.
Choose whether a booking requires full payment upfront, a deposit, or no payment at the time of booking, depending on how each service works.
Charge a commission or a service fee on every appointment booked through the marketplace, giving the site owner a share of each transaction.
Appointment cancellations and the related refunds are handled inside the system, so customers and providers have a clear process when plans change.
Service providers can request and manage withdrawals of their earnings, keeping payouts organized within the marketplace instead of tracked by hand.
Set booking parameters such as time slots, availability and buffer times so each type of service follows its own schedule.
Emails to customers and providers list the time slot and comments, with buttons to approve, reject, view or pay. Multi-booking orders send one message covering every slot.

Questions about GeoDirectory Booking Appointments
What do I need to run this add-on?
The add-on requires GeoDirectory, since it works inside GeoDirectory listings, and the Invoicing plugin, which handles payments for bookings. It extends your existing directory rather than replacing it, so your listings and structure stay in place.
Can customers book without paying upfront?
Yes. You can set bookings to require full payment, a deposit, or no payment at the time of booking. This lets you match the payment approach to the kind of service and how providers prefer to get paid.
How does the site owner earn from bookings?
You can charge a commission or a service fee on every appointment made through the marketplace. Providers can then request withdrawals of their earnings, and the system tracks those payouts for you.
Can providers approve bookings from their email?
Yes. Appointment notification emails include Approve and Reject buttons, along with View Booking and Pay buttons. When a customer books several slots in one order, a single email lists every slot and allows approval or rejection at the order level.
Is GeoDirectory Booking Appointments free?
The code of GeoDirectory Booking Appointments is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of GeoDirectory Booking Appointments is this?
Version 0.1.17-beta, released Jul 30, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update GeoDirectory Booking Appointments?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of GeoDirectory Booking Appointments automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
What does GeoDirectory Booking Appointments need?
GeoDirectory Booking Appointments needs GeoDirectory and GetPaid installed and active.
