What it does

Default map styles rarely fit a site's design. On a directory with many listing and category maps, that mismatch shows up on almost every page. This addon gives you control over map appearance from inside GeoDirectory. For Google Maps you can style individual layers such as roads, water, parks and railways, and adjust values like hex colors, hue, gamma, saturation, lightness and weight. You can also bring in premade styles from Snazzy Maps and tweak them further.

Open Street Maps users get a selection of preset styles and can add premium layers such as Open Cycle Maps by entering API details. You can set different styles for different map types, so a detailed listing map can look different from a category overview map. It works with GeoDirectory maps and with other GeoDirectory addons such as Marker Cluster. Google static maps are the exception, since they do not support styles. It suits local business directories, travel guides and community portals that run on GeoDirectory.
