GeoDirectory Lists
GeoDirectory Lists by AyeCode is a plugin add-on for GeoDirectory that lets registered users create, organize and share their own lists of places. It works much like the collections feature on Yelp, so visitors can group favorite spots under titles such as Italian restaurants to try or attractions to visit.

What’s new in GeoDirectory Lists 2.3.10
- NewPrevent direct template access for public users.
What it does
A simple favorites button only goes so far. Visitors to a directory often want to group places by theme, trip or occasion, and keep some of those groups to themselves while sharing others. This add-on gives registered users a way to do that from the frontend of your site. Each list gets its own title and description, and users can make as many lists as they like, choosing whether each one stays private or is shown publicly.
Lists can hold more than one custom post type, so a single collection can mix entries from different parts of your directory. You decide where the Add to List button appears by placing it with shortcodes, widgets or Gutenberg blocks, and dedicated list pages can be built the same way. The add-on requires the core GeoDirectory plugin and also depends on the Posts 2 Posts plugin. Direct template access is blocked for public users.
Best for
- Local city guides built on GeoDirectory
- Business and restaurant directories with registered members
- Travel and attractions sites where visitors plan trips

Questions about GeoDirectory Lists
What do I need on my site to use this add-on?
It runs on top of the core GeoDirectory plugin, so that must already be active. The add-on also depends on the Posts 2 Posts plugin, which handles the connections between lists and the places added to them.
Can visitors keep their lists private?
Yes. Each list can be set as private or public. Private lists stay hidden from other visitors, but every list has a unique URL, so a user can still share a private list with specific friends or family by sending them the link.
Can one list include different kinds of listings?
Yes. Lists support multiple custom post types, so a user could save restaurants, attractions and events from different parts of your directory into the same collection instead of keeping separate lists for each type.
How do I add the Add to List button to my pages?
You can place it with a shortcode, a widget or a Gutenberg block. That lets you put the button on listing pages, sidebars or custom layouts wherever it makes the most sense for your visitors.
Is GeoDirectory Lists free?
The code of GeoDirectory Lists is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of GeoDirectory Lists is this?
Version 2.3.10, released May 14, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update GeoDirectory Lists?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of GeoDirectory Lists automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
What does GeoDirectory Lists need?
GeoDirectory Lists needs GeoDirectory installed and active.
