What it does
Placing Google Ad Manager units by hand usually means copying head and body code snippets, pairing them correctly and editing templates. This add-on removes that manual work. You connect your account, import all or selected ad units in bulk, and then place them using the Advanced Ads tools you already have. The add-on matches the head and body codes for you, so each unit is set up correctly. It requires the Advanced Ads plugin and works with both the standard Google Ad Manager and Google Ad Manager 360.
Once your units are in WordPress, you can fine-tune how they behave. Size mapping adapts each unit to different screen widths, such as a mobile leaderboard or a medium rectangle. Key-value targeting passes post categories, tags or placements to Ad Manager. You can also refresh units automatically within a placement, collapse empty containers and adjust or turn off units on AMP pages. Because it runs inside Advanced Ads, features like content injection, display and visitor conditions, and cache busting apply to these ads too.
Best for
- Publishers already serving ads through Google Ad Manager
- Blogs and news sites using Advanced Ads for placements
- Agencies managing ad setups on client WordPress sites
Features
Add your Google Ad Manager ad units to WordPress through the Advanced Ads interface without writing or pasting any code into your theme.
Pull in all of your ad units, or only the ones you pick, from your Google Ad Manager account in one step instead of entering them one by one.
Map ad sizes to different screen dimensions so units such as mobile leaderboards and medium rectangles show at the right size on each device.
Send key-value pairs based on post categories, tags or placements to Google Ad Manager so your campaigns can target specific content.
The add-on pairs the head and body ad codes for each unit on its own, so you do not have to match them manually.
Set specific ad sizes for Accelerated Mobile Pages and choose to disable individual ad units on AMP pages when they do not fit.
Refresh ad units automatically within the same placement, and control when and how ad containers collapse when no ad is available to fill them.
Works with both the standard version of Google Ad Manager and the enterprise Google Ad Manager 360 edition.

Questions about Google Ad Manager
Do I need Advanced Ads to use this?
Yes. This is an add-on for the Advanced Ads plugin, so Advanced Ads must be on your site. The integration then lets you use Advanced Ads placements, display and visitor conditions, content injection and cache busting with your Google Ad Manager units.
Does it work with Google Ad Manager 360?
It does. The add-on supports both the standard Google Ad Manager and the Google Ad Manager 360 edition, so larger publishers on the enterprise version can connect and import their ad units the same way.
Can I control how ads look on mobile and AMP pages?
Yes. Size mapping lets you set which ad sizes appear at different screen widths, such as mobile leaderboards or medium rectangles. For AMP pages, you can tailor ad sizes and turn off selected ad units entirely.
What happens when an ad slot has nothing to show?
You can set ad collapsing rules that decide when and how an ad container collapses if no ad is available. This helps avoid blank spaces on your pages where an ad would normally appear.
Is Google Ad Manager free?
The code of Google Ad Manager is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Google Ad Manager is this?
Version 3.0.5, released Jun 8, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Google Ad Manager?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Google Ad Manager automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
What does Google Ad Manager need?
Google Ad Manager needs Advanced Ads installed and active.
