What it does
Standard ad placements sit inside the page and are easy to scroll past. This add-on lets you show an ad, a subscription form, an alert or an announcement as a layer on top of your site content instead. You decide what sets it off, such as scrolling, clicking or time on the page, and how long it waits before appearing. Frequency capping limits how often the same visitor sees the same popup, so repeat readers are not shown it on every visit.
The add-on extends Advanced Ads, so you need that plugin running on your site. Once in place, you can position a popup at the top, bottom, center or a corner of the screen, add an optional dimmed or colored background behind it, and pick a fade, slide or show animation. A customizable close button lets visitors dismiss the popup when they are done. It suits publishers who already manage ads with Advanced Ads and want more ways to present them.
