What it does
When someone registers on a WordPress site, the usual next step is a login form asking for the details they just typed. That extra step slows people down at the moment they want to start using your site. This add-on removes it by signing users in right after a Gravity Forms registration is submitted. The login happens in the background, so the visitor simply finishes the form and finds themselves logged in.
The plugin works with the confirmation settings you already have in Gravity Forms. If a form shows a confirmation message, that message still appears. If it redirects to a WordPress page or an external URL, users land there already logged in. It also works with the Gravity Forms Better User Activation add-on, logging users in when they activate their account. Developers can adjust its behavior with hooks and filters such as gpal_auto_login, gpal_pre_auto_login and gpal_post_auto_login.
