What’s new in GP Limit Dates 1.1.43
- NewAdded a setting to open the date picker on focus; providing an opt-in way to open the Gravity Forms 3.0 datepicker automatically when a Date field receives focus.
What it does
A standard date picker lets visitors choose almost any date, which causes trouble on forms for appointments, reservations or event registrations. Someone books on a Sunday when you are closed, or picks a check-out date before check-in. This plugin adds rules to Gravity Forms date fields so the calendar only offers dates that make sense for your schedule. You set the rules in the field settings without writing code, and the form checks every entry against them.
Limits can be fixed dates, relative to today, or based on another field in the same form. Modifiers let you add or subtract days, weeks, months or years, so a rule like "at least two days from now" is simple to set up. Exceptions override the general rules for specific dates. Dates follow the timezone set in WordPress, and validation runs both in the browser and on the server. It also works alongside other Gravity Perks, such as Gravity Forms Read Only, to make visitors use the date picker.
Best for
- Businesses taking appointment bookings through Gravity Forms
- Hotels, rentals and venues collecting check-in and check-out dates
- Event organizers running registration forms with set dates
Features
Set start and end limits manually, relative to the current date, or based on the value of another field in the form.
Restrict a field to future dates for bookings and appointments, or to past dates for things like historical records.
Choose which weekdays or weekend days can be selected so the calendar matches your business hours or event schedule.
Allow or block specific dates regardless of your general rules, which is handy for holidays, closures or special opening days.
Use the date picked in one field to set the minimum or maximum of another, useful for check-in and check-out or start and end periods.
Add or subtract days, weeks, months or years from a limit to build rolling date ranges that shift over time.
Show the calendar directly inside the form instead of as a popup, so the available dates are visible right away.
Dates typed in or selected are checked both in the browser and on the server, blocking out-of-range submissions.

Questions about GP Limit Dates
Does this work without Gravity Forms?
No. GP Limit Dates is an add-on for Gravity Forms and works on its date fields. It also connects with other Gravity Perks, such as Gravity Forms Read Only, to make visitors pick dates from the calendar.
Can I block holidays while keeping my normal weekday rules?
Yes. Exceptions let you block or allow specific dates regardless of the general rules. For example, you can open weekdays only and then block a holiday, or make a normally blocked day available for a special event.
Can the end date depend on the start date someone picks?
Yes. Linked date fields set the minimum or maximum of one date field based on the date chosen in another. Combined with modifiers, you can require an end date a certain number of days after the start.
What happens if someone types a date outside the allowed range?
The plugin validates dates both client-side and server-side, so manually typed dates that break your rules are rejected before the form can be submitted.
Is GP Limit Dates free?
The code of GP Limit Dates is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of GP Limit Dates is this?
Version 1.1.43, released Oct 15, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update GP Limit Dates?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of GP Limit Dates automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
