GP Limit Choices
GP Limit Choices by Gravity Wiz is a Gravity Forms add-on plugin that limits how many times each choice in a field can be selected. It helps you run sign-ups, bookings and orders without going over capacity, and it tells visitors what is still available.

What’s new in GP Limit Choices 1.7.16
- FixedFixed an issue with choice limits getting lost when adding Bulk Choices.
What it does
Many forms collect choices that have a real ceiling: seats in a workshop, time slots for appointments or a small stock of products. Without limits, a form keeps accepting entries after a slot is full, and you end up contacting people to undo bookings. This add-on lets you set a maximum for each choice so the form stops accepting a selection once its limit is reached. It works with Drop Down, Checkboxes, Radio Buttons and Multiple Choice fields, plus Product and Option fields where quantities matter.
The plugin builds on the GP Inventory perk and works inside the normal Gravity Forms settings. Visitors can see remaining counts next to choices, and exhausted options can be disabled or hidden. You can share one limit across several fields or forms through GP Inventory's Resource system, scope limits to a day or a date field, and hide a whole form once every choice runs out. Waiting lists and notifications help when demand passes your limits.
Best for
- Event organizers managing limited seats or registrations
- Businesses taking appointment bookings with capped time slots
- Gravity Forms sites selling products with limited stock
Features
Set a maximum number of selections for choices in Drop Down, Checkboxes, Radio Buttons and Multiple Choice fields so the form stays within capacity.
Product and Option fields count ordered quantities against the limit, so a single order for several units is tracked accurately.
Show availability next to choices, with custom messages for remaining inventory, requests that exceed what is left and choices that are used up.
Exhausted choices can be disabled or removed from the form entirely, so visitors only work with options they can still pick.
Use GP Inventory's Resource system to share one limit across multiple choice fields or forms and manage it from a single place.
Scope limits to parameters such as a daily cap or a specific date field, which suits bookings and recurring events.
Hide the entire form once all choice limits are reached, which stops new submissions after everything is taken.
Enable waiting lists for oversubscribed choices and get notified when limits are reached so you can respond quickly.

Questions about GP Limit Choices
Which Gravity Forms fields can I limit?
You can limit choices in Drop Down, Checkboxes, Radio Buttons and Multiple Choice fields. Product and Option fields are also supported, and when quantities are involved, the ordered quantity counts toward the limit.
What do visitors see when a choice is full?
You decide. Exhausted choices can be disabled or hidden from the form. You can also show remaining counts and custom messages for available inventory, requests larger than what is left and choices that are no longer available.
Can several forms share the same limit?
Yes. Through GP Inventory's Resource system, one limit can be shared across multiple choice fields or across different forms, so a single pool of seats or stock is tracked in one place.
Can limits reset each day or depend on a date?
Limits can be scoped to dynamic parameters such as a daily limit or a specific date field. That makes it practical for bookings where each day or event date has its own capacity.
Is GP Limit Choices free?
The code of GP Limit Choices is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of GP Limit Choices is this?
Version 1.7.16, released Feb 19, 2025. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update GP Limit Choices?
