What’s new in GP Media Library 1.2.41

Version 1.2.41 · Sep 17, 2026 Latest
  • FixedFixed an issue where files uploaded to the media library are not deleted when their associated entry is permanently removed.

What it does

By default, files uploaded through Gravity Forms live apart from your regular WordPress media. That makes it harder to reuse them in posts, attach them to custom fields or find them later. This plugin closes that gap by importing uploaded files, including images and documents, straight into the Media Library as proper attachments with their metadata. You turn it on with a toggle in the File Upload field settings, and it works with both single and multi-file upload fields.

Once files are in the Media Library, they become easier to put to work. Uploads can be mapped to Advanced Custom Fields Image, File and gallery fields, and multi-file uploads can set featured images. Image merge tags output sized thumbnails, and GravityView can display medium-sized thumbnails in place of full images. Developers get PHP filters for image sizes, supported ACF field types and deletion behavior, and media files can be removed when their entry is permanently deleted.

Best for

  • Sites collecting images or documents through Gravity Forms
  • Developers building user-submitted content with Advanced Custom Fields
  • Directories and listings displaying entries with GravityView

Features

Automatic Media Library import

Files uploaded through Gravity Forms are imported into the WordPress Media Library, so submitted images and documents are stored with your other media.

Toggle in field settings

Turn on the import with a single toggle inside the Gravity Forms File Upload field settings, without leaving the form editor.

Single and multi-file uploads

Works with fields that accept one file or several, so people can submit multiple files in a single form entry.

Advanced Custom Fields mapping

Connect uploaded files to Advanced Custom Fields Image or File fields, and send multi-file uploads into ACF gallery fields.

Featured image support

Map uploaded images to set a post's featured image, which helps when forms are used to create content on your site.

Thumbnail merge tags

Use auto-generated image merge tags to display properly sized thumbnails of uploaded images in confirmations, notifications and other output.

GravityView thumbnails

In GravityView, uploaded images display as medium-sized thumbnails in place of full-size files when entries are shown on the front end.

Developer hooks and filters

PHP filters let advanced users adjust image size settings, the supported ACF field types and how files are handled on deletion.

Questions about GP Media Library

Does this work with forms that accept more than one file?

Yes. It supports both single and multi-file File Upload fields. Multi-file uploads can also be mapped to ACF gallery fields or used to set featured images, so a set of submitted photos can go straight into your content.

Can I connect uploaded files to Advanced Custom Fields?

Yes. Uploaded files can be mapped to any Advanced Custom Fields Image or File field, and multi-file uploads can fill ACF gallery fields. Developers can use a PHP filter to change which ACF field types are supported.

What happens to the media files when I delete an entry?

Files that were imported into the Media Library can be removed when their associated entry is permanently deleted. Developers who want different behavior can adjust deletion handling through the plugin's PHP filters.

Will it help when displaying entries in GravityView?

It does. In GravityView, uploaded images are shown as medium-sized thumbnails rather than full-size files. You can also use the plugin's image merge tags to output sized thumbnails elsewhere in Gravity Forms.

Is GP Media Library free?

The code of GP Media Library is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of GP Media Library is this?

Version 1.2.41, released Sep 17, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update GP Media Library?

Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of GP Media Library automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
