What it does

Running courses in LearnPress means students complete quizzes and lessons across many courses, and pulling those results together by hand takes time. This add-on gives administrators and instructors a gradebook view that lists enrolled students with their scores, progress and course completion status. Scores for each course component are recorded automatically, so you can see how each learner is doing without compiling results yourself. Assignment scores appear too when the plugin is paired with the LearnPress Assignment add-on.

The gradebook uses an Excel-like layout built with React JS, so browsing rows of student data feels familiar. You can filter by name, email or learning status to find specific learners, and spot students with low scores or unfinished lessons who may need follow-up. When you need records outside WordPress, the data exports to CSV or Excel with filters for student, course or completion status. It fits sites with a handful of courses as well as larger e-learning platforms built on LearnPress.

Best for

  • Online course sites built on LearnPress
  • Instructors who need to monitor student scores across courses
  • Schools and training providers that report grades in spreadsheets

Questions about LearnPress Gradebook

Do I need LearnPress to use this gradebook?

Yes. This is an add-on for the LearnPress LMS plugin and works with LearnPress courses, quizzes and lessons. It requires LearnPress to be active on your WordPress site.

Can it show assignment grades as well as quiz scores?

It tracks quizzes and lessons on its own. Assignment scores are included when you also use the LearnPress Assignment add-on, so all three component types can appear in the same gradebook.

Can I get the grade data out of WordPress?

Yes. You can export gradebook data in CSV or Excel format and apply filters for student, course or completion status first, which is handy for reports, records or sharing results with students.

How do I find students who are falling behind?

Use the filters to sort by learning status, name or email, and review the table for low scores or incomplete lessons. That lets instructors spot learners who may need extra support.

Is LearnPress Gradebook free?

The code of LearnPress Gradebook is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of LearnPress Gradebook is this?

Version 4.1.4, released Sep 30, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update LearnPress Gradebook?

Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of LearnPress Gradebook automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.

What does LearnPress Gradebook need?

LearnPress Gradebook needs LearnPress installed and active.
