What it does

Keeping track of drafts, review stages and publish dates gets messy once more than a few posts are in progress. This plugin moves that planning into WordPress itself. A content calendar shows your publishing schedule by date, and you can drag posts to reschedule them. A sortable overview lists content by status, category or author, and it can produce printable reports of planned articles. The content board lets you drag posts between statuses such as Draft, Pending Review, Scheduled and Published, so everyone can see where each piece stands.

Communication is handled through editorial notifications that you can target to the right people when content changes. Notifications can be sent to Slack channels, where team members can reply without opening WordPress. Reminder notifications can go out before or after publication dates, and post meta can be included in messages for more context. You can export your schedule to Google Calendar, edit items in large modals without leaving the planner, and the Pro version removes PublishPress branding and ads from the interface.

Best for

  • Editorial teams coordinating posts across several writers
  • Bloggers who want a visual publishing calendar
  • Content agencies tracking client deadlines in WordPress
