What it does
Some products sell better through bidding than at a fixed price, such as one-off pieces, collectibles or limited items. Running auctions on a separate platform means managing listings in two places. This plugin requires WooCommerce and builds auction features on top of your existing store, so auctions sit alongside your regular products and use the same setup you already have for orders and customers.
For each auction you set the reserve price, minimum bid increment and start and end times. Bidders can place proxy bids that rise automatically up to their maximum, and a countdown timer shows how long is left. Standard, reverse and silent auction formats are supported. When an auction ends, the winner is selected and notified by email, and sellers can follow bids and past orders from the admin area.
Best for
- WooCommerce stores selling unique or limited items
- Collectors and resellers running online auctions
- Shops wanting reverse or silent auction formats
Features
Bidders enter a maximum amount and the plugin raises their bid automatically as others bid, so they do not need to watch the auction constantly.
Auction pages display a countdown that updates in real time, showing bidders exactly how much time remains before the auction closes.
Run standard, reverse or silent auctions, choosing the format that fits the item and the way you want buyers to compete.
Set reserve prices, minimum bid increments, and start and end times for each auction so you control how every listing runs.
When an auction ends, the plugin selects the winner automatically and sends an email notification to help complete the sale.
A bid history display lets both bidders and sellers see all activity on an auction, keeping the process clear and easy to follow.
When you relist an auction, paid orders stay intact, unpaid ones fail, and past orders are saved and shown in the admin auction box.
Works with popular translation plugins and multiple currencies, which helps stores that sell to buyers in different countries.

Questions about WooCommerce Simple Auction
Do I need WooCommerce to use this auction plugin?
Yes. The plugin requires WooCommerce and works inside it, adding auction functionality to your existing store. Auction products live alongside your regular products, so you keep your current store setup and workflows.
What types of auctions can I run?
You can run standard, reverse and silent auctions. Each auction can have its own reserve price, minimum bid increment, and start and end times, so you can match the format and rules to the item you are selling.
How does automatic bidding work for my customers?
Bidders place a proxy bid with their maximum amount. The plugin then raises their bid automatically as competing bids come in, up to that maximum, so they stay in the auction without having to bid manually each time.
What happens when an auction ends?
The plugin selects the winner automatically and notifies them by email. If you relist an auction, paid orders are kept intact while unpaid ones are failed, and past orders are saved and displayed in the admin auction metabox.
Is WooCommerce Simple Auction free?
The code of WooCommerce Simple Auction is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
