What it does
Planning a conference or festival means juggling parallel sessions, rooms, speakers and sponsor tiers, and a plain list of times rarely makes that clear to attendees. This plugin gives you a structured way to lay out the agenda. You can split it into multiple tracks, assign sessions to locations and tags, and flag keynotes or featured talks as mainstage sessions so they stand out. It suits small events like weddings and fundraisers as well as multi-day conferences.
Schedules can be placed on any post type. You can add them with a block in the WordPress block editor, where you configure and preview them in place, or with shortcodes that control which elements appear and how links behave. Layouts come in table or grid form with light and dark modes. Single session, speaker and sponsor pages use a template system, so theme developers can override them. When paired with Event Tickets, you can sell tickets through your event pages.
Best for
- Conference and festival sites with parallel sessions
- Organizers of weddings, fundraisers and community events
- Sites already running The Events Calendar or Event Tickets
Features
Organize parallel sessions into separate, customizable tracks, each with location and tag assignments, so attendees can follow busy agendas with overlapping talks.
Mark keynotes or featured sessions as mainstage with a single click so they are visually set apart from the rest of the schedule.
Display your speakers and sponsor tiers alongside the schedule. Sponsor names still appear in conference schedules even when no sponsor image is set.
Choose between a table or grid layout for your agenda and switch between light and dark modes to suit the look of your site.
Add schedules through a block in the WordPress block editor, then configure them and preview the result visually inside your page design.
Use shortcodes to choose which schedule elements appear, control how links behave and adjust the appearance on any post or page.
Run the plugin standalone to add structured schedules to any post type, or combine it with The Events Calendar for a fuller event site.
Single session, speaker and sponsor pages use a template system, so you can override their markup from your theme for custom designs.

Questions about Event Schedule Manager
Do I need The Events Calendar to use this plugin?
No. It works standalone, letting you add structured schedules to any post or page with a shortcode or block. If you do run The Events Calendar, the two can be combined, and Events Calendar Pro adds custom calendar filters that pair well with speaker and sponsor listings.
Can I sell tickets for sessions from the schedule?
Yes, when the Event Tickets plugin is active you can sell tickets directly through your event pages. Without Event Tickets, the plugin focuses on building and displaying the agenda itself.
Can it handle a conference with several rooms running at once?
It supports simultaneous multi-track schedules. You can create customizable tracks, assign sessions to locations and tags, and highlight mainstage sessions such as keynotes so attendees can find them among parallel sessions.
How much control do I have over how the schedule looks?
You can pick table or grid layouts, use light or dark mode, and choose which elements show through shortcode options. Developers can also override the single session, speaker and sponsor templates from their theme.
Is Event Schedule Manager free?
The code of Event Schedule Manager is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Event Schedule Manager is this?
Version 1.2.2, released Feb 10, 2025. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Event Schedule Manager?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Event Schedule Manager automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
