What it does
Nonprofits that raise money from supporters in other countries often run into a simple problem: donors see an amount in a currency they don't use and have to work out the conversion themselves. This add-on puts a currency switcher on your GiveWP donation forms so each donor can choose a familiar currency. It requires the GiveWP plugin and works with both default and customized form designs, on desktops, tablets and phones.
Behind the scenes, the plugin uses MaxMind GeoLite data to detect a donor's location and set a matching currency. Exchange rates come from several APIs, including a Google-powered option, and you can override them with your own values to keep giving levels round and easy to read. You decide which currencies each payment gateway accepts, globally or per form, and you can turn switching on or off for individual forms. It also works alongside GiveWP add-ons such as Recurring Donations, Tributes and Fee Recovery.
