FixedResolved a PHP 8 fatal error on the donation details screen when the global Tribute Options have never been saved.

What it does

Many people give to mark a birthday, a loss or a special person in their life, and a plain donation form has no place to record that. This add-on requires the GiveWP plugin and adds tribute fields to your existing forms. Donors pick a tribute type such as "In honor of" or "In memory of", or one you define yourself, then enter the honoree's details and a personal message. You decide on each form whether tributes appear and whether the fields show as radio buttons, a dropdown or buttons.

After the gift, the honoree can be notified in two ways. A customizable eCard carries the donor's message by email, and you can preview it and send test emails first. For physical acknowledgments, you can design printable cards in portrait or landscape and several sizes, choose whether donors or administrators send them, and track which cards have been mailed. Built-in reports and data exports cover tribute donors and honorees, which helps with follow-up outreach.

Does this work without GiveWP?

No. It is an add-on for the GiveWP donation plugin and works inside GiveWP forms. You need GiveWP running on your WordPress site for the tribute fields, eCards, cards and reports to be available.

Can I add tribute options other than in honor or in memory?

Yes. Along with the default dedications, you can create your own tribute types so donors can choose a dedication that fits your cause. You can also choose how the options display, using radio buttons, a dropdown or buttons.

Can I use tributes on some forms and not others?

Yes. Tributes can be enabled or disabled on a per-form basis, so you might offer them on a memorial campaign form while keeping a general donation form simpler.

How are honorees notified about a tribute gift?
