What it does
Gift Aid is a UK government program that lets charities reclaim tax on donations from UK taxpayers, adding up to 25% to each eligible gift at no extra cost to the donor. Collecting proper declarations and keeping track of them by hand takes time, and many donors skip the option because they do not understand it. This add-on places a clear Gift Aid opt-in inside your existing GiveWP forms, with customizable messaging and an optional link to a longer explanation.
Once a donor opts in, the plugin generates a PDF declaration they can keep, and your organization keeps a matching record. It can offer to reuse the donor's billing address for the declaration and shows the Gift Aid option only to UK-based donors, so international supporters see a shorter form. You can turn Gift Aid on for every form or only selected ones, and export declarations and donation data in bulk as CSV files for tax claims and bookkeeping. It requires GiveWP and works with any payment gateway GiveWP supports.

Will donors outside the UK see the Gift Aid option?
