What it does
South African nonprofits running GiveWP need a way to take local payments that donors already know and trust. This add-on fills that gap by linking GiveWP to PayFast. Donors fill in your donation form, then complete payment off-site on PayFast, which handles the transaction and includes built-in fraud detection. Supported methods include Visa and MasterCard credit cards plus instant EFT, and instant EFT payments clear immediately instead of waiting the usual two days.
The gateway works with South African rand only, and it prevents donations from processing if your site currency is set to anything other than ZAR. It works with the GiveWP visual donation form builder, so you can keep designing forms the way you already do.
