What it does
Many supporters would give to a cause on the spot if it took less effort than opening a browser and filling in a form. This add-on handles that by letting donors text a donation amount to a dedicated number. After a one-time secure registration, they confirm the gift and the donation is recorded against your GiveWP form. It is a good match for events, live appeals and campaigns where people have their phones in hand.
The plugin works inside GiveWP, so you need that plugin running on your site. You connect your donation forms to a Twilio account, and text-to-give can be turned on for new or existing forms. Stripe processes the payments. You can write your own SMS replies and prompts so the conversation sounds like your organization. Twilio messaging is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis, and registered donors can give again later by texting another amount.

Do I need GiveWP for this to work?
Yes. This is an add-on for the GiveWP donation plugin, so GiveWP must be active on your site. Text donations are connected to your GiveWP donation forms, which can be existing forms or new ones.
What outside services does it use?
It uses Twilio to send and receive the text messages and Stripe to process the payments. You will need accounts with both services, and Twilio charges for SMS on a pay-as-you-go basis.
