What’s new in LatePoint Addon - Payments Mercadopago 2.0.3
Version 2.0.3
Latest
- ImprovedAdded extra check for slot availability before payment intent generation.
What it does
If you run appointments through LatePoint and your customers pay with Mercado Pago, this add-on puts the two together. Payments happen inside the LatePoint booking flow, so customers choose a time slot and pay in the same process. Before a payment is started, the add-on runs an extra check that the chosen slot is still available, which helps avoid charging someone for a time that was just taken by another booking.
Beyond payments at checkout, the add-on handles invoices generated in LatePoint and can create payment links connected to specific appointments, which is handy when a client books by phone or pays later. Webhook handling keeps payment statuses in LatePoint in sync with Mercado Pago automatically, so your booking records reflect what actually happened with each transaction. It works within the countries and currencies Mercado Pago supports.
Best for
- Service businesses taking appointments with LatePoint
- Booking sites serving customers in Mercado Pago countries

Questions about LatePoint Addon - Payments Mercadopago
Do I need LatePoint for this to work?
Yes. This is an add-on for the LatePoint booking plugin. It adds Mercado Pago as a payment option inside LatePoint, so the payment features apply to bookings, invoices and payment links created in LatePoint.
Can customers pay after they book, or only during booking?
Both are possible. Customers can pay in real time while booking, and you can also send payment links tied to an appointment or have them pay invoices generated through LatePoint.
How do payment statuses get updated in LatePoint?
The add-on uses webhook handling. When Mercado Pago reports a change to a transaction's status, LatePoint is updated automatically, so you do not need to match payments to bookings by hand.
What happens if two people try to book and pay for the same slot?
The add-on performs an extra check for slot availability before it generates a payment intent. If the slot is no longer available, payment is not started for that time.
