What it does
Promoting events usually means copying the same details into several social networks every time something new goes on the calendar. MEC Social Auto Poster handles that step from inside Modern Events Calendar. You link your social accounts once, and new events can be published to them automatically. There is no cap on how many accounts you connect, and you can add several accounts on the same platform, which helps if you run more than one brand or keep separate pages for different event types.
Category-based posting lets you decide which social accounts receive which events, so a workshop category can go to one page while conferences go to another. If you prefer to pick and time each post yourself, a manual publish option is there too. A history report, shown as a list and as charts, lets you look back at what was posted to each platform. It fits event organizers, venues and agencies who already run their calendar on Modern Events Calendar.

Questions about MEC Social Auto Poster
Do I need Modern Events Calendar to use this?
Yes. MEC Social Auto Poster is an add-on for the Modern Events Calendar plugin. It takes the events you create in that calendar and shares them to your connected social media accounts.
Which social networks can it post to?
It supports Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Meetup. You can link an unlimited number of accounts, including more than one account on the same network, and post an event to several networks at once.
Can I send different event categories to different social accounts?
Yes. Category-based auto-posting lets you assign specific event categories to particular social accounts. That way, each page or profile only receives the kinds of events its followers care about.
Can I choose which events get shared instead of posting everything?
Yes. Alongside automatic publishing, there is a manual publish option. You can pick individual events and decide when to share them, and you can review past posts in list and chart reports.
Is MEC Social Auto Poster free?
The code of MEC Social Auto Poster is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of MEC Social Auto Poster is this?
