What it does

Modern Events Calendar already includes Stripe and PayPal for ticket sales, but some organizers run their business on Square and want event payments to land in the same account. This addon connects Modern Events Calendar to Square, giving you another card payment option at checkout. You connect your Square account by entering your credentials in the settings panel, and the gateway then appears in the booking process for your events.

The addon works with both the standard booking form and the MEC Cart, so it fits single ticket purchases as well as multi-item orders. Transactions in your Square dashboard show the event and ticket type, and payment descriptions include the event name and date, which makes reconciling sales easier. Payments can be sent to the correct Square location, the attendee name appears in the paid by field, and refunds for Square payments can be handled automatically.
