What it does
Running ticket sales for an event usually means juggling payments, attendee lists, receipts and a door list. This add-on brings those jobs into your WordPress dashboard. Buyers pay through PayPal, Stripe or Square on your site, then receive an e-ticket and an invoice by email with a purchase summary and tax receipt. You can set up different ticket types, such as VIP, general admission, discounted or multi-day passes, and show buyers how many spots are left.
On event day, attendees present a QR code that your team scans with the Android or iOS ticket scanner app. You can assign check-in roles to specific team members and watch check-in status live from the attendee list. Ticket and invoice templates can carry your company details like VAT number, address and logo, and ticket templates can show a ticket ID, seat number, subtotal, fees and tax. Attendees can also add per-attendee Apple Wallet passes. It suits small workshops and larger conferences alike.
Best for

Questions about MEC Ticket and Invoice
Does this work on its own or do I need another plugin?
It is an add-on for the Modern Events Calendar plugin, so you need Modern Events Calendar running on your site. The add-on extends it with ticket sales, invoicing and QR code check-in.
Which payment gateways can buyers use?
Buyers can pay through PayPal, Stripe and Square. Payments happen on your own site, so customers are not redirected to a third-party page to finish buying their tickets.
Can I export invoices and booking records?
Yes. You can export invoices and bookings in PDF or XML formats for backup or sharing. From the WordPress backend you can also resend invoices, track payments and export detailed reports.
Can I bring over bookings from an older system?
The add-on includes an import option for previous bookings, so existing attendee data can be moved in when you switch your event management setup.
Is MEC Ticket and Invoice free?
The code of MEC Ticket and Invoice is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of MEC Ticket and Invoice is this?
Version 3.7.0, released Sep 11, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update MEC Ticket and Invoice?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of MEC Ticket and Invoice automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
