What it does
Canadian organizations that raise money with GiveWP often bank with Moneris and need a way to take card donations through it. This add-on fills that gap. It requires the GiveWP plugin and adds Moneris as a payment option on your donation forms. Donors enter their card details on your site and complete the gift without being redirected to another page, so the giving process stays in one place.
The gateway processes donations in Canadian dollars and accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diner's Club and JCB. It uses Moneris eFraud tools for address verification and CVD/CVV checks on the three-digit code from the back of the card. When a payment is declined, donors see a clear message explaining why, with tips for trying again. Refunds can be issued from inside GiveWP, so staff do not need to log in to Moneris separately.
