What it does
Building a slider by hand means picking images, typing captions and adding links, then repeating the work every time you publish something new. This addon takes a different route. It pulls slides straight from your existing content, so a slider of recent blog posts, featured products or real estate listings can draw on what you have already written. Because it works through the Soliloquy core slider, you keep the familiar slider tools while the addon handles where the slide content comes from.
You set up a new slider from the External tab, then choose the post types and taxonomies to pull from. You can mix several sources in one slider, include or exclude specific posts, and sort slides by date, menu order or other WP_Query order parameters. Display options let each slide show only an image or a linked image with a title and excerpt. Sliders are responsive, and it fits bloggers, online stores and agencies that want featured content without writing code.
