What it does
Keeping a website in step with an active Instagram account usually means saving photos and uploading them to WordPress one at a time. This addon removes that chore. You connect your Instagram account, and the addon imports your photos and turns them into a slider. You can build sliders from your own feed, from photos you have liked, or from photos tagged with specific keywords, which gives you some control over what appears on each page.
Each slide can link back to the original Instagram post, giving visitors a direct path to your account, and captions can be shown on the images for context. You can randomize the photo order so the slider looks different between visits. Instagram data is cached every 12 hours, which keeps the site from requesting fresh data on every page load. The sliders are responsive, so they adapt to phones, tablets and desktop screens.
