What it does
Running a membership site and a mailing list side by side usually means exporting users and importing them into MailChimp by hand. This extension removes that step. When someone signs up through an Ultimate Member registration form, they can be added to a MailChimp list automatically, or they can opt in with a checkbox on the form. You decide which lists appear on each form, so different signup paths can feed different audiences.
The extension also keeps things tidy after registration. User meta data can be synced to your MailChimp lists, so the details you collect on your site travel with each subscriber. Members get a place on their account page to subscribe to or leave lists, and you can limit which lists are visible to which user roles. It fits sites that already use Ultimate Member and send newsletters through MailChimp.
Best for
- Membership sites built with Ultimate Member
- Online communities that send MailChimp newsletters
- Sites segmenting members by role or membership type
Features
New users can be added to your MailChimp mailing lists right after they register, with no manual exporting or importing needed.
Give users a choice to subscribe while filling out the registration form, so only people who agree are added to your lists.
Add more than one MailChimp list to a registration form and let users select which of those lists they want to join.
Show separate MailChimp subscription lists on separate registration forms, which helps you segment members by membership type or interest.
Sync user meta data from your site to MailChimp lists, so subscriber records carry the profile details you collect at registration.
Members can manage their subscription preferences from their account page, subscribing to or unsubscribing from lists on their own.
Restrict which subscription lists appear to specific user roles, so each group only sees the mailing lists meant for them.

Questions about Ultimate Member MailChimp
Does this work without Ultimate Member?
No. It is an extension for Ultimate Member and connects that plugin's registration forms and account pages to MailChimp. You need a site running Ultimate Member and a MailChimp account with the lists you want to use.
Can users choose which mailing lists they join?
Yes. You can add several MailChimp lists to a registration form and let users pick the ones they want. You can also show an opt-in so users decide whether to subscribe at all, or add them automatically after registration.
Can members unsubscribe later from their account?
Yes. The extension adds subscription preferences to the member account page, where users can subscribe to lists or unsubscribe from them whenever they like, without contacting you or using MailChimp directly.
Can I show certain lists only to some members?
Yes. You can restrict list visibility to specific user roles, so members only see the lists meant for their role. You can also display different lists on different registration forms to separate audiences by membership type or interest.
Is Ultimate Member MailChimp free?
The code of Ultimate Member MailChimp is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Ultimate Member MailChimp is this?
Version 2.7.0, released Sep 29, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Ultimate Member MailChimp?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Ultimate Member MailChimp automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
