What it does
Many community sites end up with bare profile covers because members have no good image to upload. This extension adds a second option to the profile cover photo: alongside uploading a personal image, users can browse Unsplash photos in a modal window, search and preview them, and set one as their cover. It works inside the Ultimate Member profile experience, so members personalize their pages in the same place they already edit them.
Setup happens in the admin settings. You connect your own Unsplash developer account and API key, then define search terms that pre-load themed photos for users, which keeps the imagery in line with your community's topic and style. The extension respects Unsplash's API rate limits and automatically shows photographer credit in the top-right corner of each Unsplash cover photo, matching Unsplash's attribution requirements. It also works with the Profile Completeness extension, counting the cover photo toward profile progress.
