What it does
Community sites often need a simple place for members to write things down, whether that is a personal reminder or something they want others to read. This extension adds that space to Ultimate Member profiles. Each user gets a dedicated notes tab where they can write new notes, choose whether a note is private or public, and come back later to edit or delete it. Admins and profile owners can both add and manage notes, which makes it useful for tracking information or leaving feedback.
Notes can be saved as drafts, so users can work on an idea before publishing it. If your site also runs the Ultimate Member Social Activity extension, new notes can appear in the social feed for other members to see. With the Friends extension, users can limit a note so that only their friends can view it. This makes the extension a good fit for sites that already rely on the Ultimate Member ecosystem and want more ways for members to share.

Does this work without the Ultimate Member plugin?
No. It is an extension designed for the Ultimate Member plugin, and notes are added to Ultimate Member user profiles in their own tab. You need Ultimate Member running on your site to use it.
Can users keep some notes private?
Yes. Each note can be set as private or public. Private notes work well for personal reminders, while public notes can be read by other members. With the Friends extension, notes can also be limited to friends only.
Will new notes show up in the activity feed?
They can if you also use the Ultimate Member Social Activity extension. With it active, newly published notes can appear in the social feed so other members notice them.
