What it does
Content-heavy sites often leave readers with no simple way to keep track of what they want to read again. Browser bookmarks get lost, and they do nothing to connect members with each other. This extension adds a bookmark link to your content so logged-in users can save items to their own library on your site, organized into folders they create and name themselves.
You decide which content types can be bookmarked, whether that is pages, posts or custom post types, and you can switch bookmarking off on individual items. The bookmark link can sit at the top or bottom of your content. Members manage their saved items inside their Ultimate Member profile, and they can mark each folder as public or private. Public folders can be browsed by other members, which suits blogs, membership sites and community hubs with a lot of material.

Choose bookmarkable content types
Pick which content types users can bookmark, including pages, posts and custom post types, so saved items stay relevant to your site.
Turn off bookmarks per item

Questions about User Bookmarks
Does this work on its own or do I need Ultimate Member?
It is an extension for Ultimate Member. Bookmarks and folders are managed inside Ultimate Member user profiles, so your site needs Ultimate Member running for the bookmarking features to have a place to live.
Can users bookmark custom post types as well as posts?
Yes. You choose which content types can be bookmarked, and the options include pages, posts and custom post types. You can also disable bookmarking on individual pages or posts if certain items should not be saved.
Can other members see what someone has bookmarked?
Only if the owner allows it. Each bookmark folder can be set as public or private. Public folders can be browsed by other members, while private folders stay visible only to the person who created them.
Where does the bookmark link appear on my content?
You can place the bookmark link at either the top or the bottom of your content. That setting lets you match the link position to your theme layout and where readers are most likely to notice it.
Is User Bookmarks free?
The code of User Bookmarks is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
