What it does
On a community site it can be hard for members to tell which profiles belong to real, checked people. This extension gives you a simple way to mark those accounts. Members apply for verification from the front end, and you review each request by hand before anything changes. Only the users you approve receive the blue verification badge, so the badge carries meaning on your site. Members who change their minds can cancel a pending request at any time.
The workflow sits inside Ultimate Member. Email notifications tell admins when a new request comes in and tell users when their account is verified. On the users page, admin filters show every account waiting for review. You can place a verification request link anywhere on the site, sort member directories so verified members come first, and display verification activity with a global activity wall shortcode. It also works with the Ultimate Member notifications extension and the Social Activity integration.
Best for
- Social networks built on Ultimate Member
- Membership communities that want to mark checked accounts
- Professional directories listing real, reviewed members
Features
Members can apply for account verification themselves, and they can cancel a pending request at any time if they no longer want it reviewed.
Administrators approve or deny each verification request by hand, so you decide exactly which accounts receive the verified badge.
Approved users get a blue badge that appears on their profiles and in member directories, so other members can see who has been verified.
Admins are emailed when a new verification request is submitted, and users are emailed when their account has been verified.
Filtering tools on the WordPress users page let you quickly find and manage every account that is currently awaiting verification.
A verification URL lets you add direct request links anywhere across your site, making it easy for members to start the process.
Sorting options for member directories can put verified members first, helping visitors find checked profiles without scrolling through every listing.
A global activity wall shortcode shows verification activity anywhere, and the plugin works with the notifications extension and Social Activity streams.

Where does the verified badge show up?
The blue badge appears on verified users' profiles and in member directories. You can also sort directories so verified members appear first, and verification events can show in Social Activity streams.
Can members withdraw a verification request?
Yes. A member can cancel a pending verification request at any time before it is reviewed, which gives them control over their own account status.
Is Verified Users free?
The code of Verified Users is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Verified Users is this?
