What it does

A standard form asks every visitor the same questions, even when half of them do not apply. That makes forms longer than they need to be and leaves you sorting through answers by hand. This add-on solves that by letting you set rules on your Ninja Forms forms. When a visitor picks an option or types a value, the form responds by revealing the next relevant field, hiding ones that no longer matter, or adjusting the choices in a list. You build these rules without writing code.

The logic also carries through after someone hits submit. You can send notification emails to different recipients or departments depending on the answers, display a different success message for each path, or redirect people to a specific page. Field values can be changed on the fly or used in calculations, which suits quizzes, price adjustments and discounts. It requires Ninja Forms and works within the forms you already build there, so it fits any site that already relies on that form builder.

Best for

  • WordPress sites already building forms with Ninja Forms
  • Businesses routing inquiries to separate departments
  • Quiz, quote or order forms that need calculations

Features

Show and hide fields

Display only the fields that match each visitor's input, so people see questions that apply to them and skip the rest.

Dynamic field values

Change field values or run calculations as the form is filled out, useful for quiz scoring, price adjustments or custom discounts.

Adjust list options

Add or remove individual options in dropdowns, radio buttons and checkboxes based on earlier selections, keeping choices relevant.

Conditional email routing

Send form submissions to different recipients or departments depending on how the visitor answered specific questions.

Tailored success messages

Set up multiple confirmation messages and show the one that matches the path each visitor took through the form.

Answer-based redirects

Send visitors to different pages after they submit, based on the answers they gave in the form.

Subscription list sorting

Subscribe people to different newsletters or mailing lists according to their selections, which helps keep audience segments organized.

Questions about Conditional Logic

Do I need Ninja Forms to use this?

Yes. This is an add-on for Ninja Forms, so it requires the Ninja Forms plugin. It adds conditional rules to the forms you create there rather than working as a standalone form builder.

Can I build conditional forms without coding?

Yes. Rules for showing and hiding fields, changing values, editing list options, routing emails and redirecting visitors are all set up without writing code, so beginners and developers can both use it.

Can different people receive the form submission based on answers?

Yes. You can set conditional email notifications so a submission goes to a particular recipient or department depending on what the visitor selected or entered in the form.

Does it work with date and time fields?

Conditions can compare date and time values, including values entered in different formats. Hidden fields are also respected during required field validation, so a field hidden by your rules will not block submission.

Is Conditional Logic free?

The code of Conditional Logic is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of Conditional Logic is this?

Version 3.1.5, released Aug 24, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update Conditional Logic?

Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Conditional Logic automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.

What does Conditional Logic need?

Conditional Logic needs Ninja Forms installed and active.
