What it does
Many forms need more than text. Job applications ask for a resume, support requests need screenshots, and quote forms often need documents or photos. This plugin requires Ninja Forms and adds a file upload field you can place in any form without writing code. You decide which file types each field accepts, set minimum and maximum file sizes, and choose how many files a visitor can send in one submission. Custom error messages tell visitors what went wrong if a file is the wrong type or size.
Once files arrive, the plugin helps you keep them organized. Uploads can be renamed automatically with merge tags such as the submitter's first name, last name or company, and saved into custom folder paths built with dynamic shortcodes. Files can go to Google Drive, Dropbox, Amazon S3 or the WordPress media library, so they do not have to stay on your own server. Uploaded files can also be attached to your email notifications, and a File Uploads screen in the admin lets you review and bulk delete them.
Best for
- Sites collecting job applications and resumes
- Businesses receiving documents, photos or quote requests
- Ninja Forms users storing files in cloud services
Features
Add a file upload field to any Ninja Forms form with drag and drop or a few clicks, with no coding needed to start collecting files.
Choose exactly which file types each upload field accepts, so visitors can only send the kinds of files you actually want to receive.
Set lower and upper file size limits for each field to keep uploads within the range that suits your site and your needs.
Specify how many files a visitor can upload at once, from a single attachment to several files in one form entry.
Rename uploaded files automatically using submitter details like first name, last name or company, which makes each file easier to identify later.
Build custom folder paths with dynamic shortcodes so uploads are sorted into the directories you define instead of one shared folder.
Send uploaded files to Google Drive, Dropbox, Amazon S3 or the WordPress media library, giving you a choice of where submissions are stored.
Include uploaded files as attachments in your form email notifications, so the people who need them receive the files right away.

Questions about Ninja Forms File Uploads
Do I need Ninja Forms to use this?
Yes. This is an add-on for Ninja Forms, so the Ninja Forms plugin must be active on your site. The add-on then adds file upload fields you can place in any of your Ninja Forms forms.
Can uploaded files be stored somewhere other than my server?
Yes. You can save uploads to Google Drive, Dropbox, Amazon S3 or the WordPress media library. This lets you keep files in a storage service you already use rather than holding everything on your own hosting.
Can I limit what visitors are allowed to upload?
You can restrict accepted file types per field, set minimum and maximum file sizes, and cap the number of files per submission. When an upload breaks a rule, the visitor sees an error message you can customize.
Will I get the files in my notification emails?
Yes. The plugin can attach uploaded files to your form's email notifications automatically. Files can also be renamed with merge tags, such as the submitter's name, so attachments are easy to recognize.
Is Ninja Forms File Uploads free?
The code of Ninja Forms File Uploads is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Ninja Forms File Uploads is this?
Version 3.3.36, released Oct 14, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Ninja Forms File Uploads?
