What it does

Taking payments through a contact or order form usually means juggling API keys and separate checkout tools. This add-on, built for sites that already run Ninja Forms, connects your PayPal Business account with one click, so there are no credentials to hunt down. It was developed in collaboration with PayPal's Partner Engineers, and it works whether you already have a PayPal account or are setting one up for the first time. Once connected, you add the PayPal Checkout action to any form and choose the payment options for that form.

Amounts can be fixed prices, totals calculated from form input, or a field where visitors enter their own figure, which suits donations. Buyers can pay with standard PayPal, PayPal Credit, Pay Later, Venmo, guest checkout, on-page credit card fields, or bank debits such as iDEAL and Sofort, across more than 25 currencies. Sandbox mode lets you test forms before going live, and PayPal transaction IDs appear in submission details. You can map order descriptions, buyer notes, shipping addresses and payer email, and sites using the older PayPal Express add-on can migrate over.

Best for

  • WordPress sites already using Ninja Forms
  • Nonprofits collecting donations with custom amounts
  • Small businesses selling services or products through forms

Features

One-click account connection

Connect your PayPal Business account with a single click, with no need to find or paste API keys or other credentials.

Flexible payment amounts

Charge a fixed price, a total calculated from form input, or an amount the visitor types in, which works well for donations.

Several payment methods

Offer standard PayPal, PayPal Credit, Pay Later, Venmo, guest checkout, and bank debits such as iDEAL and Sofort.

On-page credit card fields

Accept credit card payments directly on the form page, so customers are not redirected to another site to finish paying.

Sandbox testing

Run your payment forms in a simulated PayPal environment to check the whole checkout flow before you start taking real payments.

Support for 25+ currencies

Take payments in over 25 currencies, so international customers can pay in their local currency.

Transaction IDs in submissions

See PayPal transaction IDs inside each form submission in your WordPress dashboard, which makes record keeping and lookups simpler.

Order and buyer data mapping

Map form fields to the PayPal order description, note to buyer, shipping address and guest payer email.

Questions about Ninja Forms PayPal

Do I need Ninja Forms for this to work?

Yes. This is an add-on for Ninja Forms, so the Ninja Forms plugin must be active on your site. You add the PayPal Checkout action to forms you build with it.

Can visitors choose how much to pay?

Yes. Along with fixed prices and totals calculated from other form fields, you can include a field where visitors enter their own amount. That setup suits donation forms and pay-what-you-want offers.

Can customers pay without a PayPal account?

They can. Guest checkout is supported, and on-page credit card fields let people pay by card right on your form. Bank debit options such as iDEAL and Sofort are also available.

I use the older PayPal Express add-on. Can I switch?

Yes. The plugin supports migrating from the Ninja Forms PayPal Express add-on to PayPal Checkout while keeping your form functionality and payment flow in place.

Is Ninja Forms PayPal free?

The code of Ninja Forms PayPal is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of Ninja Forms PayPal is this?

Version 3.2.3, released Oct 15, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update Ninja Forms PayPal?

Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Ninja Forms PayPal automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.

What does Ninja Forms PayPal need?

Ninja Forms PayPal needs Ninja Forms installed and active.
