- ImprovedScreen reader navigation, with a View's entries now identified as a labeled region, as in GravityView's other layouts.
- FixedThe "No Entries Message" could be displayed as plain text instead of a heading when the "No Entries Form" setting was configured.
- ImprovedThe Multiple Entries template now fires the gk/gravityview/template/entries/before and gk/gravityview/template/entries/after actions around the entries output, as GravityView's other layouts do.
- ImprovedThe no-results output now uses the .gv-no-results.gv-no-results-text or .gv-no-results.gv-no-results-form classes instead of .gv-diy-view.gv-no-results; update any custom CSS that targets the old selector.
- ImprovedReplaced GravityView hooks deprecated in version 2.55 with their current equivalents.
- ChangedNote: DIY Layout now requires PHP 7.4 and WordPress 6.5 or newer.
What it does
GravityView displays Gravity Forms entries on the front end of a WordPress site, and its default layouts cover many common cases. Sometimes your data needs a different arrangement, such as a directory of members, a list of event registrations or a page of customer feedback. This extension lets you build that display yourself instead of working within a fixed template, so the result matches the way your content is organized.
You build layouts with a drag-and-drop interface, choosing which form fields appear, putting them in order and styling each one. Entries can be shown as lists, tables or grids, and a live preview lets you check the result before publishing. Layouts are responsive across desktops and phones, and they work alongside GravityView's filtering and sorting, so visitors can still narrow down and order the entries they browse.
Best for
- Sites displaying Gravity Forms entries through GravityView
- Membership directories and event registration listings
- Developers needing custom entry displays without template coding

Questions about DIY Layout
Do I need GravityView and Gravity Forms to use this?
Yes. This is an extension for GravityView, which displays entries collected by Gravity Forms. It adds a custom layout option to GravityView rather than working as a standalone form or display plugin.
Can I build a layout without knowing code?
Yes. The drag-and-drop builder lets you choose fields, reorder them and apply styling such as fonts, colors and spacing. A live preview shows how the layout looks before you publish it.
What kinds of displays can I create?
You can present entries as lists, tables or grids. That covers uses such as membership directories, event registration lists and collections of customer feedback, each arranged to fit your own data.
Will visitors still be able to filter and sort entries?
Yes. Layouts built with this extension work with GravityView's filtering and sorting features, so visitors can narrow down results and change their order within your custom display.
Is DIY Layout free?
The code of DIY Layout is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of DIY Layout is this?
Version 2.6.0, released Oct 8, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update DIY Layout?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of DIY Layout automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
