What’s new in GravityView 3.7.0

Version 3.7.0 · Oct 8, 2026 Latest
  • ImprovedBroader "Search Everything" matching that covers what fields display, not just what they store: Names of users, posts, entries, and database table rows that Dynamic Lookup, GP Populate Anything, and GP Nested Forms fields store by ID; Labels of choice fields, such as Drop Down and Checkboxes; Fields inside Repeater fields.
  • ImprovedSorting by fields that store the ID of a user, post, entry, or database table row, which now orders entries by the displayed name, including in Views that combine forms with the Multiple Forms extension.
  • SecurityViews embedded with a `{user:...}` merge tag in their search showed every entry to logged-out visitors instead of none.
  • SecurityThe Entry and Entry Field blocks, the `[gventry]` and `[gvfield]` shortcodes, entry embeds (oEmbed), and the REST API's single entry route could display entries that the View's filters exclude.
  • SecurityEntries not listed on a page could be opened in its lightbox when the page also contained an escaped `[[gravityview]]` shortcode or a secured View embedded without its secret.
  • SecurityThe Single Entry page heading of a View embedded in a reusable block could show the title of an entry the visitor wasn't allowed to view.
  • SecuritySearch Bar fields restricted to logged-in users could still filter results for logged-out visitors.
  • SecurityA GravityView Search widget left in the WordPress Inactive Widgets area still allowed visitors to search by its fields.

What it does

Gravity Forms collects data well, but the entries stay in the WordPress admin by default. This plugin takes that data and turns it into lists and tables that visitors can search, filter and sort. You can use it for a business directory, a job board, an event listing or any other page built from form submissions. Layouts are arranged with a drag-and-drop builder, and pre-designed templates for tables, lists and data tables give you a starting point.

Beyond display, it handles who sees what. Conditional logic can show entries based on user roles, dates or specific field values, and access controls limit viewing and editing to logged-in users. Front-end editing lets people update their own entries without touching the dashboard. Search can match the labels of choice fields and fields inside Repeater fields, and sorting can order entries by displayed names for fields that store user or post IDs. All of its own add-ons are included.

Best for

  • Gravity Forms users who want entries shown on the front end
  • Business directories, job boards and event listing sites
  • Agencies building data-driven sites for clients without custom code

Features

Drag-and-drop layout builder

Arrange how form entries appear on the page by dragging fields into place, with no coding needed to customize the layout of a view.

Pre-designed layouts

Start from ready-made layouts including tables, lists and data tables, then adjust them to fit the directory or listing you are building.

Search and filtering

Give visitors a search bar and filters so they can find relevant entries, including matches on choice field labels and fields inside Repeater fields.

Front-end entry editing

Let users update their own entries directly on your site, so they never need access to the WordPress backend to make changes.

Conditional display rules

Show entries based on user roles, dates or specific form field values, so each view only lists the content you intend.

User access controls

Restrict viewing and editing permissions to logged-in users, keeping certain entries and search fields away from anonymous visitors.

Sorting, pagination and export

Sort entries, split long results across pages and export form entries, including sorting by the displayed name of linked users or posts.

Multilingual support

Build directories and listings for audiences in different languages, so the same views can serve visitors around the world.

Questions about GravityView

Do I need Gravity Forms to use this plugin?

Yes. GravityView is built to display and manage entries submitted through Gravity Forms, so your data comes from forms you create there. The plugin then turns those entries into tables, lists and directories on your site.

Can visitors edit their own submissions?

Yes. Front-end editing lets users update their entries directly on your site without backend access. You can combine this with user access controls to limit editing permissions to logged-in users.

What kinds of sites can I build with it?

Common uses include job boards, business directories and event listings, along with any page that presents form data. Layouts include tables, lists and data tables, and visitors can search, filter and sort the results.

Can I control which entries appear in a view?

Yes. Conditional logic lets you show entries based on user roles, dates or specific form field values. You can also restrict viewing and editing to logged-in users, and limit certain search fields to logged-in visitors.

Is GravityView free?

The code of GravityView is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of GravityView is this?

Version 3.7.0, released Oct 8, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update GravityView?

Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of GravityView automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
