GravityImport
GravityImport by GravityView is a WordPress plugin that brings CSV data into Gravity Forms as form entries. You upload a file, match its columns to your form fields and run the import, so records from an old system or another site end up in your forms without retyping.

What’s new in GravityImport 2.12.4
- FixedColumns mapped to a Dynamic Lookup field set to "Multiple Choice" with multiple selections allowed imported nothing even though the import reported success; cells listing the field's stored values, such as record IDs (3, 1), now select those choices.
- FixedEntries imported in the background could have no "Created By" user, and imported notes without their own author had none either (both now belong to the user who started the import).
- FixedImports stayed on "Preparing to import…" and never ran when GravityKit's "Enable Background Processing" setting was off but GravityImport's was on (these imports now run in the browser).
- FixedWith Gravity Forms 3.0.3 or newer, rows rejected for the form as a whole, such as a row whose only value was in a field hidden by conditional logic, were blamed on an anti-spam or CAPTCHA plugin instead of showing Gravity Forms' reason.
- ImprovedFoundation to version 1.36.0.
What it does
Moving data into Gravity Forms by hand is slow and easy to get wrong, especially when you have hundreds or thousands of rows sitting in a spreadsheet. This plugin replaces that manual entry with a guided import. You upload a CSV file, map each column to the matching form field, preview the result and then bring the rows in as entries. No coding is needed, so site administrators can handle the job themselves.
Imported rows are checked against your form's rules, and rows that fail are flagged with a reason instead of being saved as broken entries. That makes it a practical tool for migrating from an older system, consolidating data from several sources, restoring entries from a backup or moving form data between WordPress sites. Imports can run in the background or in the browser, and imported entries are credited to the user who started the import.
Best for
- Gravity Forms sites migrating entries from another system
- Administrators restoring or moving form data between WordPress sites
- Agencies consolidating client spreadsheets into Gravity Forms
Features
Upload a CSV file and turn its rows into Gravity Forms entries, replacing the manual work of typing records into your forms one at a time.
Match each CSV column to the form field it belongs in, so names, values and other data land in the right place in every entry.
Bring in hundreds or thousands of entries in a single run, which suits large migrations and consolidating data from older systems.
Imported data is checked against your form's requirements, and rejected rows show the reason Gravity Forms gives, such as values in fields hidden by conditional logic.
Review your field mapping and the entries it will create before you commit, giving you a chance to catch mapping mistakes early.
Works with a broad range of standard and custom field types, including Dynamic Lookup fields set to multiple choice with several selections.
Imports can run as background processing or directly in the browser, and imported entries and notes are assigned to the user who started them.

Questions about GravityImport
Do I need Gravity Forms to use this plugin?
Yes. The plugin is built specifically to import CSV data into Gravity Forms as entries, so you need Gravity Forms set up with the forms you want to fill. Each row of your CSV file becomes an entry in the form you choose.
What happens if some rows in my CSV don't fit my form?
Imported data is validated against your form's rules. Rows that fail are rejected rather than saved as incomplete entries, and the plugin shows the reason Gravity Forms reports, such as a row whose only value sits in a field hidden by conditional logic.
Can I check the import before it runs?
Yes. After mapping your CSV columns to form fields, you can preview the mapping and the entries it will create. This lets you spot columns matched to the wrong field before any data is written to your form.
Does it handle fields with multiple selections?
It supports a wide range of standard and custom field types. For example, Dynamic Lookup fields set to multiple choice with several selections allowed can be filled from cells listing the field's stored values, such as record IDs.
Is GravityImport free?
The code of GravityImport is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of GravityImport is this?
Version 2.12.4, released Oct 8, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update GravityImport?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of GravityImport automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
