What’s new in Dynamic Addon 1.6.9
Version 1.6.9 · Oct 7, 2026
Latest
- FixedDynamic galleries no longer expose private posts' titles, excerpts, or attached images to visitors.
- FixedLightbox thumbnails in dynamic galleries now use the same size the gallery actually renders, so the correct cropped files are served.
What it does
Keeping photo galleries up to date gets tedious once a site has hundreds of images. Every new batch means opening a gallery, picking files and saving again. This addon removes most of that work. You tag images with your own labels, or attach them to posts, and the addon generates galleries from those sources. When new matching images arrive, the gallery reflects them without manual curation, which suits busy schedules and content-heavy websites.
The addon works alongside Envira Gallery's own tools for organizing and presenting media. Visitors can filter galleries by tag, search by tags, descriptions and alt text, and browse albums with custom covers. Galleries can have their own standalone URLs, EXIF details such as camera model and aperture can be displayed, and default WordPress galleries can be converted with one click. Dynamic galleries also keep private posts' titles, excerpts and attached images hidden from visitors.
Best for
- Photographers with large, growing image libraries
- Content-heavy sites that publish photos with many posts
- Site owners already using Envira Gallery

Questions about Dynamic Addon
Do I need Envira Gallery for this addon to work?
Yes. Dynamic Addon is an extension for Envira Gallery, so it adds dynamic, tag-based and post-based galleries on top of the Envira Gallery plugin rather than working on its own.
How does a dynamic gallery decide which images to show?
You can build a gallery from images carrying a particular custom tag or from images attached to a specific post. When matching images are added later, the gallery picks them up automatically, so you skip manual curation.
Will dynamic galleries show content from private posts?
No. Dynamic galleries keep private posts' titles, excerpts and attached images hidden from visitors, so building a gallery from post attachments will not expose content you have kept private.
Can visitors search or filter the images?
Yes. Visitors can filter galleries by tag and use a customizable search bar that looks through tags, descriptions, alt text and more to find specific images or videos.
Is Dynamic Addon free?
The code of Dynamic Addon is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Dynamic Addon is this?
Version 1.6.9, released Oct 7, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Dynamic Addon?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Dynamic Addon automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
