If you share files through Download Monitor, you probably want to know when people actually grab them. This extension adds email alerts to that setup. Every time a file is downloaded, an email goes out to the addresses you choose. You can get alerts for every download on the site, or limit them to specific files so your inbox only hears about the ones you care about. That makes it workable for a small site with a handful of files and for a larger library with many downloads.
The extension also works with the Download Monitor lock extensions, which ask visitors for details such as an email address before a file is released. When someone fills in that information and downloads, you get notified right away and can follow up while the interest is fresh. Notifications can go to several recipients at once, which helps when a sales, marketing or support team needs to see the same activity. Setup happens inside the Download Monitor settings, without technical steps.

Yes. This is an extension for the Download Monitor plugin, so it needs Download Monitor active on your site. It adds email alerts on top of the file management Download Monitor already provides.
