What it does
Large galleries get hard to browse. When a page holds dozens or hundreds of photos, visitors who want one subject end up scrolling past everything else. This addon solves that by letting you attach custom tags to each image or video in Envira Gallery. Those tags then power filter buttons on the front end, so a visitor can click a tag and see only the matching items. You can also add a search bar that looks through tags, titles, descriptions and alt text.
The addon works inside Envira Gallery, so it fits sites already using that plugin for their photo and video collections. Beyond filtering, tags can drive dynamic galleries that build themselves from tagged images or images linked to specific posts. You decide where tags appear, how they are sorted, whether an All Tags filter shows and which tag is selected by default. Tag filters sort alphabetically regardless of capitals or accents, and no coding is needed to set any of this up.
