What it does
Viewing entries inside WordPress works for a quick look, but reporting, charting and sharing with a team usually happens in a spreadsheet. CSV files are a common route, yet they can be hard to read and can break when a visitor types a separator character into a form field. This add-on writes proper Excel files instead, in .xlsx or .xls format, which keeps the columns intact and makes the data easier to work with.
Exports run from a central page in your WordPress dashboard. You pick the form, choose which fields to include, set a date range and drag columns into the order you want. Conditions such as contains, is empty, greater than and less than narrow the results further. It works with the Ninja Forms Store Submission action and needs the ZipArchive PHP module on your server, which suits monthly, quarterly or custom period reports.
Best for
- Sites collecting leads or registrations through Ninja Forms
- Teams that build monthly or quarterly reports in Excel
- Agencies sending form data to clients as spreadsheets
Features
Choose exactly which form fields go into the spreadsheet, so your export holds only the data you need and leaves out the rest.
Limit an export to submissions from any date range, from a single day to a full year, for time-based reports and reviews.
Save exports as either .xlsx or .xls files, depending on which Excel format your spreadsheet application or workflow expects.
Rearrange fields in the dashboard by dragging them, and the exported file follows that column order so the layout matches your report.
Narrow results with conditions like contains, is empty, greater than and less than to pull out a specific subset of form submissions.
Run exports from one page in your WordPress dashboard in a few clicks, without copying entries by hand into a spreadsheet.
Exports entries saved through the Ninja Forms Store Submission action, and the only server requirement is the ZipArchive PHP module.

Questions about Excel Export
Do I need Ninja Forms for this to work?
Yes. This is an add-on for Ninja Forms and exports the submissions that Ninja Forms stores. Your forms need the Store Submission action so entries are saved and available for export.
Why use this instead of a CSV export?
CSV files can be hard to read and can break when someone enters a separator character in a form field. This add-on creates real Excel files in .xlsx or .xls format, which keeps each value in its own column.
Can I export only some of the entries?
Yes. You can set a date range and add conditions such as contains, is empty, greater than or less than to filter submissions. You can also choose which fields to include and set their column order.
Are there any server requirements?
The add-on needs the ZipArchive PHP module on your server. Most hosts include it, but you can check with your host or in your PHP settings if you are unsure.
Is Excel Export free?
The code of Excel Export is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Excel Export is this?
Version 3.3.7, released Jul 20, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Excel Export?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Excel Export automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
What does Excel Export need?
Excel Export needs Ninja Forms installed and active.
