Gravity Flow Flowchart is a plugin add-on from Gravity Flow that gives your workflows a graphical flowchart view. Instead of reading steps in a list, you see approvals, assignments and notifications laid out on a canvas you can arrange, zoom, pan and print.

What’s new in Gravity Flow Flowchart 1.8.0

Version 1.8.0 · Jun 12, 2024 Latest

  • FixedFixed an issue on the form settings page that causes the 'leave page' alert to appear even though the chart hasn't been changed.

What it does

Workflows in Gravity Flow can grow long, and a plain step list makes it hard to follow how approvals, assignments and automated steps connect. This extension adds a Flowchart view that presents those steps as a diagram. Teams can read a complex sequence at a glance, which helps when explaining a process to colleagues or stakeholders who never open the workflow settings. It also does this inside Gravity Flow, so you do not need a separate third-party tool to draw your processes.

The flowchart stays in sync with your workflow. When you add, edit, delete or reorder a step, the chart reflects the change right away. An auto-layout option arranges the diagram for you, and you can drag steps around the canvas to set your own layout. Zoom and panning help on large diagrams, and you can switch back to the standard step list at any time. Print support lets you bring a copy to meetings or keep it with your documentation.

Best for

  • Sites running approval or assignment workflows in Gravity Flow
  • Admins managing long, multi-step business processes
  • Teams that need to explain workflows to stakeholders

Features

Flowchart view for workflows

See Gravity Flow steps as a graphical diagram on a canvas, giving you a clearer picture of complex sequences than the traditional step list.

Automatic layout

Generate an organized flowchart automatically, so you spend less time lining up steps by hand before you can read the workflow.

Drag-and-drop step placement

Move steps around the canvas with your mouse to arrange the layout in whatever way makes the process easiest to follow.

Zoom and panning

Zoom in on one part of a workflow or out for the full picture, and grab the canvas to move across large diagrams.

Print support

Produce printed copies of your workflow diagrams for meetings, training sessions or internal documentation.

Switch between views

Toggle between the standard step list and the Flowchart view depending on which one suits the task or the person using it.

Real-time step syncing

Any step you add, modify, delete or reorder shows up in the flowchart immediately, so the diagram always matches the actual workflow.

Questions about Gravity Flow Flowchart

Do I need Gravity Flow to use this?

Yes. This is an extension for Gravity Flow and adds a Flowchart view to the workflows you build there. It visualizes and arranges your existing workflow steps rather than working as a standalone tool.

Will the flowchart update when I change my workflow steps?

It does. Adding, modifying, deleting or reordering steps is reflected in the flowchart right away, so the diagram stays accurate without you redrawing anything.

Can I still use the regular step list?

Yes. You can switch between the standard step list and the Flowchart view whenever you like, so each person on your team can work in the view they prefer.

Can I share a workflow diagram offline?

The extension includes print support, so you can print a workflow diagram for meetings or documentation. Auto-layout and zoom help you get the chart readable before printing.

Is Gravity Flow Flowchart free?

The code of Gravity Flow Flowchart is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.

Which version of Gravity Flow Flowchart is this?

Version 1.8.0, released Jun 12, 2024. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.

How do I update Gravity Flow Flowchart?

Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Gravity Flow Flowchart automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
