What’s new in Gravity Inline Edit 2.12.0

Version 2.12.0 · Oct 1, 2026 Latest
  • FixedInline editing stopped working after a View refreshed its entries without reloading the page, leaving the Toggle Inline Edit link and editable fields unresponsive.
  • FixedIssues that could erase saved values in choice fields, especially those filled in by Populate Anything.
  • FixedMulti Select fields listed the first entry's choices when editing any entry, so saving could erase values when entries had different choices.
  • FixedRadio Buttons and Checkboxes fields could lose their value on save when entries had different choices or the saved choice was beyond the first 501 that Populate Anything loads.
  • FixedInline editing any field could clear selections in a Checkboxes field filled in by Populate Anything when its choices depended on another field or a selection was beyond the first 501.
  • FixedSelections in Image Choice and Multiple Choice fields could appear unchecked in Gravity Forms after saving if the field's choices had been reordered or deleted.
  • FixedDisplay issues after saving a field: Multi Select fields showed stored values instead of choice labels; Image Choice field labels ran together; Image Choice fields using the "Input value" display option showed images instead of values.

What it does

Managing form data in Gravity Forms usually means going back and forth between your site and the WordPress dashboard to correct a typo, update a status or fill in a missing detail. That gets tedious when you handle a steady flow of submissions such as customer feedback or event registrations. This plugin moves that editing work onto the front end, inside the views where people already read the entries, so updates happen in place.

It works with GravityView, which displays your form entries on the front end. A Toggle Inline Edit link switches the view into editing mode, and changes show up on the page once saved. You choose which fields can be edited and who is allowed to edit them, so team members or clients get the access they need without reaching the backend. Choice fields such as checkboxes, radio buttons, multi select and image choice are handled, and the layout works on phones and tablets too.

Best for

  • Sites displaying Gravity Forms entries with GravityView
  • Teams managing event registrations or customer feedback
  • Agencies giving clients controlled access to form data

Features

Front-end entry editing

Update Gravity Forms entries straight from your front-end views, so routine corrections no longer require opening the WordPress dashboard.

Built for GravityView

Editing happens inside your existing GravityView views, so the same pages that display your entries also let authorized users change them.

Toggle inline edit mode

A Toggle Inline Edit link switches a view into editing mode, turning displayed values into editable fields when you need to make changes.

Permission controls

Decide who can edit entries, giving team members or clients the right level of access while keeping the rest of your data protected.

Choose editable fields

Pick which form fields can be edited so the interface only exposes the values you want people to change.

Choice field support

Edit Checkboxes, Radio Buttons, Multi Select, Image Choice and Multiple Choice fields, including choice fields filled in by Populate Anything.

Changes appear on the page

Saved edits are reflected on your site right away, so the view shows the updated entry data without a separate trip to the backend.

Works on mobile and tablet

The editing interface is responsive, so you can make updates to entries from phones and tablets as well as desktop screens.

Questions about Gravity Inline Edit

Do I need GravityView for this plugin to work?

The plugin is designed to work with GravityView, which displays your Gravity Forms entries on the front end. Editing happens inside those views, so you will want GravityView set up to show the entries you plan to edit.

Can I limit who is allowed to edit entries?

Yes. It supports choice fields including Checkboxes, Radio Buttons, Multi Select, Image Choice and Multiple Choice. It also works with choice fields whose options are filled in by Populate Anything.

Can I edit entries from my phone?

Is Gravity Inline Edit free?
