What it does
Galleries often hold images that should not be public: client shoots waiting for approval, internal business material or family photos. This addon adds password protection to the galleries you build with Envira Gallery, so visitors see a password prompt and need the right password before any images appear. You can protect whole galleries or individual albums, and manage everything from your WordPress dashboard without touching code.
Beyond a single password, you can require a specific username or email address along with it, which gives you tighter control over who gets in. The password required and wrong password messages can be rewritten in your own words, so the prompt matches the tone of your site. For quick sharing, private links let someone open a gallery without entering a password. Protected galleries also work when embedded in pages and with standalone gallery pages.
