What it does
If you display photography, illustrations or other original images in sliders, anyone can usually right-click and save them in a couple of seconds. This addon closes that easy route for images shown in Soliloquy sliders. It disables the right-click menu on slider images and blocks drag and drop saving, and the same protection carries over when an image opens in a lightbox popup.
Setup is light. Once the addon is running, every new slider you create gets image protection applied automatically. For sliders you built earlier, a simple checkbox in the slider management screen lets you turn protection on or off one slider at a time. That makes it easy to protect a portfolio slider while leaving a promotional banner open, all without touching any code.
Best for
- Photographers displaying portfolio work in sliders
- Artists and illustrators sharing original images online
- Businesses wanting to discourage copying of product photos
Features
Right-click disabled on images
Visitors cannot open the right-click menu on slider images, which removes the quickest way to save or copy your pictures.
Drag and drop prevention
Images cannot be dragged out of the slider onto a desktop or another window, closing another simple method of copying.
Protection in lightbox views
The same blocking applies when an image is enlarged in a lightbox popup, so protection stays consistent across display modes.
Automatic protection for new sliders
Every slider you create after the addon is running gets image protection turned on by default, with no extra steps needed.
Per-slider checkbox control
A checkbox in the slider management interface lets you enable or disable protection for individual sliders, including ones you built earlier.
No coding required
Protection works through simple settings, so site owners without technical experience can apply it to their sliders right away.

Questions about Soliloquy Protection Addon
Does this work without the Soliloquy slider plugin?
No. It is an addon built specifically for Soliloquy sliders, so it protects images shown inside Soliloquy slider and lightbox displays. You need Soliloquy in place for it to do anything.
Will my existing sliders be protected automatically?
Protection is applied automatically to new sliders. For sliders that already exist, you can switch protection on or off individually using a checkbox in the slider management interface.
Are images protected when visitors open them in a lightbox?
Yes. The right-click and drag and drop blocking covers both the slider display and the enlarged lightbox popup, so images get the same protection in either view.
Can I leave some sliders unprotected?
Yes. Each slider has its own checkbox, so you can keep protection on for portfolio or artwork sliders and turn it off for sliders where copying is not a concern.
Is Soliloquy Protection Addon free?
The code of Soliloquy Protection Addon is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of Soliloquy Protection Addon is this?
Version 1.1.2, released May 19, 2026. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update Soliloquy Protection Addon?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of Soliloquy Protection Addon automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
