What it does
wpDiscuz already lets visitors subscribe to new comments on a post, to replies on all their comments, or to replies on a single comment. The catch is that this subscriber data normally sits in the database where admins can't easily see it. This addon pulls that data into a dedicated screen, showing each subscriber's email, status, subscription date, related post title and subscription type. That gives you a clear picture of who is following your discussions and how.
The addon adds a Subscriptions submenu under Comments in the WordPress dashboard. From there you can filter and sort subscribers, then confirm, cancel or unsubscribe them one at a time or in bulk. A built-in email pop-up lets you write to subscribers without leaving the page, and updates happen through AJAX, so there are no page reloads. Logged-in users also get their own Your Subscriptions page under the Users menu to review and manage what they follow. It fits any site that runs wpDiscuz and has an active comment section.
Best for
- Blogs running wpDiscuz with active comment sections
- Community sites where readers follow discussion threads
- Site admins who want to clean up comment subscriber lists
Features
A new Subscriptions submenu under the Comments menu gives admins one place to monitor every comment subscription on the site.
Each entry shows the subscriber email, subscription status, date subscribed, related post title and subscription type, so you can see who follows what.
Confirm, cancel or unsubscribe subscribers one by one or in bulk, which makes cleaning up and maintaining your subscriber list much quicker.
Send an email directly to subscribers from the dashboard through a pop-up window, without switching to a separate mail tool.
Narrow the list by email, status (confirmed or awaiting confirmation), subscription type (post, all comments, this comment), date or post title.
Logged-in users get a Your Subscriptions submenu under the Users menu where they can view and manage all of their own subscriptions.
Subscription changes are applied through AJAX, so the admin screen responds to your actions without reloading the page each time.

Questions about wpDiscuz - Subscription Manager
Do I need wpDiscuz for this to work?
Yes. This is an addon for the wpDiscuz commenting plugin and builds on its existing subscription options. It adds management screens for the subscriptions wpDiscuz collects, so the main wpDiscuz plugin needs to be running on your site.
What types of subscriptions can I manage?
You can manage all three wpDiscuz subscription types: subscriptions to new comments on a post, to replies on all of a user's comments, and to replies on a single comment. You can filter the list by each type.
Can I contact subscribers from the dashboard?
Yes. A built-in email pop-up lets you send messages directly to subscribers from the Subscriptions screen. You can also confirm, cancel or unsubscribe people individually or in bulk from the same place.
Can my users manage their own subscriptions?
Logged-in users get a Your Subscriptions submenu under the Users menu in the dashboard. There they can see every subscription they hold and manage them without needing an admin to step in.
Is wpDiscuz - Subscription Manager free?
The code of wpDiscuz - Subscription Manager is licensed under the GPL, so anyone may use, change and share it. GPL Feast is a paid service: a plan or a single purchase gives you the download and automatic updates. The developer's own support, licence key and online services are not included.
Which version of wpDiscuz - Subscription Manager is this?
Version 7.0.9, released May 15, 2025. New versions appear here when the developer publishes them, and members get them as automatic updates.
How do I update wpDiscuz - Subscription Manager?
Install the free GPL Feast Updater on your site and connect it with your API key. It installs new versions of wpDiscuz - Subscription Manager automatically and keeps a backup, so you can roll back.
