What it does
Forum discussions often need more than text. Members want to post screenshots, share a PDF, or attach a short video clip that explains a problem. This addon gives wpForo a fuller attachment system so files can be added to topics and posts. Users can attach several files at once, drag them into the browser window, and watch uploads happen through AJAX without the page reloading. Files can also be placed inline, right between paragraphs of a post, so they appear where they make sense to the reader.
Each user gets a personal media library, which means a file uploaded once can be reused in other topics and posts. Attached images, video and audio open in a lightbox slider with navigation controls. On the admin side, you can limit allowed file types and maximum upload size, tie upload and viewing rights to wpForo user groups, and hide attachments from guests. The interface is responsive and supports right-to-left languages, front-end phrases can be translated from the settings, and an [attach] shortcode displays attachments on regular posts, pages and widgets.

No. It is an addon built for the wpForo forum plugin and extends its topics and posts with attachment features. The [attach] shortcode can show attachments on regular posts, pages and widgets, but the uploads themselves happen through the forum.

Yes. You can disable attachment viewing for guests or for specific user groups. Upload and viewing rights are tied to wpForo user groups, so you decide which members can add files and which can open them.
