What it does
A default forum profile usually covers a name, an avatar and little else. Many communities want more: a member's location, a company, a skill level, a usergroup choice at signup or a file upload. This addon extends wpForo so you can create those fields yourself and place them on registration forms, account settings, profile pages and member search forms. You don't need a separate profile builder plugin. You can also decide, per usergroup, who is allowed to view or edit each field, which keeps private details private.
Forms are arranged in a drag and drop builder where you set layout rows and columns, and the profile page layout can be built the same way. Field types range from simple text, email and phone inputs to dropdowns, checkboxes, date and color pickers, file uploads, avatars, usergroup selectors and HTML blocks. If your site already uses Profile Builder, its fields can appear in member directories, profiles, topics and posts. There is also a tool for moving custom field data from BuddyPress, plus backup, export and import options for your field setup.

Does this work without wpForo?
No. It is an addon that extends the wpForo forum plugin. It adds custom fields and form building to wpForo's registration, account, profile and member search areas, so wpForo needs to be running on your site.
Can I hide some profile fields from certain members?
Yes. Each field has view and edit permissions you assign per usergroup. You can let moderators see a field that regular members can't, or allow only certain groups to edit a value, which helps protect sensitive member details.
I currently use BuddyPress. Can I bring my member field data over?
Yes. The addon includes a migration tool that imports user custom fields data from BuddyPress into wpForo, so the information members already entered is preserved when you switch your community to wpForo.
Can I reuse fields I already created in Profile Builder?
Yes. The addon integrates with the Profile Builder plugin, letting you use its existing fields and display their values in member directories, user profiles, forum topics and posts.
Is wpForo - User Custom Fields free?
