What it does
With a standard download link, a visitor clicks and the file arrives with nothing else shown. This extension adds a step in between. Visitors land on a dedicated downloading page, and after a short delay the download starts on its own. That pause gives you space to show instructions, a promotional banner, social media links or a tutorial video, which can help people know what to do with the file once they have it.
The downloading page is a regular WordPress page, so you build it with the same tools you already use for any other page. A shortcode places a manual download link on the page as a fallback, and its output comes from a template file you can override. The extension also reports on email addresses collected from locked downloads and lets you export those leads in bulk. It is an add-on for Download Monitor, so that plugin needs to be on your site.
